In a world where everyone seems to be selling a shortcut, I’ve learned that constantly buying solutions can quickly become overwhelming AND expensive. Many of us end up purchasing courses or tools we never fully use, leaving us with more information but less clarity.
I’ve taught myself to make more intentional decisions and have always appreciated simple systems. While I do believe knowledge can shorten the path to success, I also believe that many solutions are highly personal. What works incredibly well for one person can be completely wrong for another.
Because of that, I’ve chosen to take the longer, more deliberate route to learning how to publish books on Amazon KDP.
Instead of buying my way into someone else’s system, I’m researching, testing, and documenting my own. This blog exists to share exactly what I’m learning, what I’m planning, and what I’m trying with my own stories… honestly and without hype.
Is Amazon KDP the right path for everyone? …Absolutely not.
Publishing books requires patience, consistency, and a genuine enjoyment of writing. If you don’t enjoy the writing process itself, KDP will likely feel frustrating rather than fulfilling. But for those of us who love storytelling and creating, it can be an interesting path to explore.
I also want to be clear about one thing: I don’t believe in writing books entirely with AI.
I see AI as a helpful guide… a tool for brainstorming ideas or improving structure, but not as a replacement for the human voice. In my experience, the work that connects most deeply always comes from lived thought, emotion, and intention. That’s true in writing, and it’s something I’m committed to honoring in my own books.
Here on Cassia Rae Writes, I’ll be sharing:
– my approach to learning Amazon KDP
– how I’m planning and structuring my short stories
– the tools and resources I test along the way
– what works, what doesn’t, and what I change
This isn’t a polished success story. It’s a documented process.
If you’re interested in following along, then you’re welcome to subscribe and receive updates as I continue this journey.
